"eDAILY LEVERAGES THE DEVICES IN EACH HOUSEHOLD TO COLLECTIVELY EDUCATE BOTH PARENTS AND CHILDREN ALIKE"
October 21, 2019 / By admin
eDaily is an app that helps educate primary school children via serving articles for kids to read from approved STEM related publications and through localised current affairs.
Kids are asked up to 5 multiple choice questions post reading the article. Post submission, the parent via separate credentials receives a notification to their preferred device to login, read the story in question and see the answers submitted by their child.
The idea here is that this will foster conversation at the dinner table each night. Openly discussing recent events and sharing the types of things the child is learning in STEM related subjects. the parent can even read in advance and prompt his or her child to read a particular article.
All articles and questions are prepared by Primary School Teachers. Articles are targeted to both school year and where appropriate, gender. Participating Schools can also get their Teachers to login and post stories to their direct students. These are highlighted to all as being curated by their School.
Lastly, the platform also enables the parent to entice their child’s use by offering incentives / rewards for reading ‘X’ number of articles each week e.g. a movie with Dad this weekend 🙂
The app is utilising the multiple devices in each home. Openly educating and expanding the knowledge of each user (Parents and Children alike).
